“Freedom House allowed me to be and find different parts of myself that I didn’t even know I had in me”
Q: Where are you from?
A: Boston, MAQ: What school do you attend?
A: Milton High School
Q: Share a memory you have while at Freedom House?
A: In my first year at Freedom House my group had a debate and it was boys vs girls. It was interesting how we each depicted the same topic when arguing on separate sides. It was also really funny since the boys lost and they got mad. I also love when we go on field trips during the summer like when we went to the art museum.
Q: What is your favorite part about Freedom House?
A: When I came to Freedom House it was like turning over a new leaf. I learned many life lessons I never thought I needed. I had many deep discussions that made me see through a different light. Freedom House allowed me to be and find different parts of myself that I didn’t even know I had in me. Freedom House is really like a family. I love how not only can we be cordial with each other but during our downtime, we can share many laughs and jokes with one another.
Q: How has Freedom House impacted you?
A: I appreciate how well the staff inspired me to do more with my art. I was nervous to put it in a showcase presentation but the only way I’m going to get it out there is if I allow people to see it.
Q: What are you thankful for?
A: I am thankful for Freedom House giving me courage. This is just one step forward to where I’m going to be in the future.
